Engr. Clement Adeyinka Oke
Engr. Clement Adeyinka Oke is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and obtained a Master’s degree in Gas Engineering and Management from the College of Petroleum Studies Oxford / University of Salford, UK. He is COREN registered and a Chartered Engineer (UK); Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and Corporate Member of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers and The Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (UK).
He commenced his career with NEPA in Design, construction supervision, staff training, operation and maintenance of hydro and thermal power plants. He worked for SPDC as a Construction Engineer before joining NNPC.
Engr. Oke was a Project Manager on NNPC’s Petroleum Products Pipeline and Depot projects and the Escravos Lagos Gas Pipeline (ELP). He also worked in Business Development and Maintenance units of Nigerian Gas Company.
He was the Engineering and Construction Manager on the West African Gas Pipeline Project till award of the Construction Contracts and transitioned to set up the Operations and Maintenance systems of the first international gas pipeline in the developing world.
On return to NNPC’s LNG and Power Division he monitored implementation of all IPPs that NNPC was involved in or supplying gas to from where he became the Senior Technical Assistant to the Hon, Minster of Energy on Power Matters. He retired in 2010 as Group General Manager (Power) and Project Director for the Trans Saharan Gas Pipeline Project. He is now with the Presidential Task Force on Power.
